Common First-Time Homebuyer Mistakes
By Howard Jr. on Feb 5, 2009 in For Buyers
1. They don’t ask enough questions of their lender and miss out on the best deal. Please remember to get yourself pre-qualified or pre-approved.
2. They don’t act quickly enough to make a decision and someone else buys the house.
3. They didn’t call Howard Johnson Realty first, the real estate professionals who are willing to help you through the home-buying process.
4. They don’t do enough to make their offer look good to a seller.
5. They don’t think about resale before they buy. The average first-time buyer only stays in a home for approximately four years.
6. They lack a thorough inspection of their home. Ask for professional opinions on areas you are not comfortable with.
